Arlington author Richard CancemiKid Richie by Richard Cancemi

Retiring after a career as a psychiatrist, Richard Cancemi wrote regularly on his blog about his childhood in Brooklyn, his friends and influences, his struggles and decisions.  At the suggestion of his children, he expanded his blogs into a book, Kid Richie, which follows Richard’s journey from the neighborhood to joining a monastery and later becoming a doctor.

Dr. Cancemi is hosting a book-signing at his home in Arlington, this coming Sunday, May 2.

Also scheduled are book-signings at:

  • Gene Allen’s Gift Store at Park Row and Bowen on May 7th
  • Borders in Arlington Highlands on May 22nd.

Copies of Kid Richie will be for sale at the signing events. Dr. Cancemi’s books can also be purchased online at  Amazon.com.
