RON TURNER PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT
The Arlington Museum of Art features the remarkable work of photographer Ron Turner. This week is your last chance to see the exhibit — it runs now through August 30th.
Most of the exhibition includes photographs taken during the early 1970s in the Republic of Vietnam, captured by Ron Turner while a soldier with the United States Army. His military assignments with involved considerable travel throughout the Republic of Vietnam from his base(s) in the Saigon area. The Vietnam photos are mostly of the country and the people, rather than the war itself.
Ron Turner received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and holds a master’s degree in international relations from the Graduate School of the University of Texas at El Paso.
The Arlington Museum of Art is housed in a modern 1950s former department store building with a two-story expansive open gallery, in the heart of downtown Arlington. The oldest art organization in Arlington, the AMA began 45 years ago as an art association and fulfilled its dream to become a museum in 1989.
