The Dog Days of Summer at Rangers Ballpark

It’s always a great day for a baseball game in Arlington, but this year the Texas Rangers presented an even better day for baseball — not just for man, but also man’s best friend.

“Dog Day at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington” was held on July 25, 2010. Rangers fans, even the four-legged variety, came to cheer on their team as the club battled the Angels. The evening’s activities began with a pre-game dog parade, and prizes were given out to the top-dressed pooches!

The VIBE thanks our bud, Cole Wade, who talked with the fans and their furry friends that night. We also send a big Thank You to the Texas Rangers, for letting us film Dog Day at Rangers Ballpark!

Were you at the park with your dog? Who’s your dog’s favorite Rangers player?

Tell us your thoughts. WOOF!

Thank you for including Sadie (Kinsler’s biggest fan!) and me in your video. She had so much fun wearing her mohawk and showing off that day! How fun to be on your website! Nice job Cole and company! Hope to see you again next year!

Unfortunately, I can’t have a dog. I have inherited my son’s 26 pound solid black cat. He will attack anything smaller than a panther.

I have a 7 month old Border Collie named Raine. She is so sweet and smart. We went to the dog part in SE Arlington for the first time last Saturday. I think it’s Tails & Trails. Great park and she loved it.

  4. Favorite dog, my granddog Rambo, a sweetheart @140# with a sweet disposition. Our immediate family has a total of 6 rescues all very special.

I do not do dog clothes, they are beautiful as they are.

Dog is too old for park, just nice walks around the neighborhood.
Rambo’s granddad likes Hamilton, but disagrees loudly with Washington!

While I’m not a big fan of dressing up animals in costume, I have to say these pooches in Rangers gear are just awesome! One’s relationship with their pet is unlike anything else; why not share a favorite pastime with your favorite peep?!?!! Love it.

Now if only I was able to take my cat to a hockey game…..(btw, Bobby, your cats have me LOL!)

i’m the only person (other than a select few) that have knowledge of the very rare lobbydog …seldom seen or heard…
i also have 4 of the smartest cats in the catkingdom land…..2 can tell time, 1 will carry on a conversation with you, 1 not only sorts socks, but places them in selected areas in the house…
    there’s nothing brighter than a “trick kitty”…..

Oh man, this is definitely in our wheelhouse!! We have six dogs, all Mutts, all rescues from shelters, perils and otherwise. If people were only half the persons dogs are!! one of my all time favorites is still, “If you want to know who a true friend is: lock your wife(girlfriend) in the trunk with your dog . Open it up after an hour and see who’s the most glad to see you!!” I definitely would take my dogs(all of them) ANYWHERE i wanted to go.They have the pandamonious ( I like that word, think it’s made up) run of the house and our hearts. When I’m not wanting to kill them, I can’t imagine life without them.

We have a thirteen year old Belgian Malnois/Chow mix. We rescued him when he was a puppy and had survived heartworms. Best dog I’ve ever had… Rusty grew up with my kids and is a much as part of the family as any of us. He’s slowed down a lot and become a little neurotic in his old age; but then so have I.

i have a great idea – i think they should get two teams of dogs and let them play baseball – that would be an interesting event – they of course couldn’t hold the bat or wear a glove – and they would not care about the score – but they would sure chase those balls. – come to think of it, that’s a terrible idea
